1. How does the system work?
In a nutshell, here's how it works.  You establish your own sign on code and password at the QRPSalvage website for the region you are in.  Simply click on the "Sign up to use system" icon and fill out the information.  Once your request is activated you may enter the QRPSalvage site and enter all pertinent facts and data about the vehcile you are seeking bids on.  Be sure to tell our members all the information involving damage, engine and transmission details, or anything that will help them to povide an accurate bid.  Attach your salvage images (up to 9 in total) and select the time frame for your requested bid sequence. (1 to 7 days.)  Now sit back and wait for the bids to come into your personal electronic bid folder.  The QRPSalvage system will notify all the area QRP partners about the availability of your salvage.  Bids will be placed by our members and held in a secure electronic file until the expiration of your bid sequence.  At that time both you and the high bidder will receive an email informing you of the number of bids and the high bid and bidder.  You may also periodically monitor your current, and previous, listings at the QRPSalvage site.  You then make arrangements concerning the award of the salvage.  If you are interested in knowing the top 3 bids and their amounts, you may return to your inventory screen and see that information.

2. Do I need to fill in each field on the New Vehicle form?
Technically only the fields marked with a * are required in order to offer a car or truck for bids.  When adding a vehicle for bidding, there are many fields of data that can to be added.  While this extra effort may seem laborious, it will help you to sell the vehicle.  The more information the QRP members have, the more comfortable they will feel with making the purchase.

3. I sometimes have trouble signing in.  Am I doing something wrong?
Most login problems on this internet site, and all others for that matter, can be attributed to mistyped usernames and passwords.  Remember that passwords and usernames on this site, as well as most others, are case sensitive.  That is to say that the username BOB is not the same as the username Bob.  That being said, sometimes there may be problems accessing the site.  The internet is a large public network.  Each page load goes over many pieces of equipment, and sometimes there are problems.  But these problems usually go away within minutes.

4. Do I have to award the salvage for the high bid?
No you don't, QRPSalvage is not an auction.  QRPSalvage is a blind bid platform involving licensed professional recyclers that you may already know.  We recognize that sometimes the bids you recieve will indicate some vehicles need to be repaired instead of total lossed.  We also recognize that from time to time you may believe you can do better than our bid at a pool or auction and sometimes your customer may want to keep the car.  QRPSalvage always leaves that option up to you, just like searching for parts with us, you make the decision on what to do.

5. Why is QRP offering this to us?

We are in business to sell you high quality recycled OE parts.  And also to help both the insurance industry and us to avoid increasing sellers and buyers fees.  Not only does this method put more salvage recovery dollars in your pocket, but it keeps us supplied with parts so you have better success down the road in finding parts for your repairable estimate needs.

6. Will you bid on all forms of vehicle salvage?
Probably, but even if you submit something that doesn't generate bids, it has not created any significant delay in your claim handling process.  We have found that the sale of vehicles that will be dismantled has been the main portion of salvage sold through this option.
