Help on the QRP Salvage System
Welcome to QRPSalvage! QRPSalvage is the connecting link between you and
the professional recyclers of the QRP networks. Our members offer you high
quality recycled OE parts through QRP1Source Services and through QRPSalvage
you are able to obtain competitive salvage bids from our members as well as
reduce many of the associated costs of taking your salvage to pools or
auctions for sale. You can also recognize where your salvage is for future
use on repair estimates. Click on the "Sign up to use system" icon
and fill out the form for "seller", and you are ready to go in 24
hours or less. Here is what happens when you select QRPSalvage and enter a
vehicle for bids:
1) Upon entering your salvage all members in the QRP network are sent an
email advising them of the placement of your salvage on the system. All
members have a secure sign on code to the QRPSalvage server where they can
review the vehicle data and images and place confidential bids for you. This
is a blind bid program members cannot see other bids or the number of other
bids.
2) Members who elect to bid on your salvage will place their bid, which
then gets filed in a secure electronic file folder under your vehicle
inventory screen where all bids are held until the end of the bidding period
you selected when you entered your salvage for bids.
3) Upon expiration of the bidding period an email will be sent to you
listing the total number of bids and the high bid amount and bidder. A
similar email also goes to the high bidder alerting them that they MAY be
getting an award. We do this to facilitate rapid salvage handling and
encourage pick up arrangements as swiftly as possible. This email is not an
award notification.
4) To "finalize" the bid, by either accepting, or rejecting the
high bid. Simply go to your adjuster inventory page, open your inventory
page, select the recently closed vehicle and click on it. See the
"Accept or Decline this bid" icon on your inventory screen? Click
on it and then select the drop down box to accept or decline the bid. Select
the appropriate box concerning title receipt if awarding, or enter a note on
why you are declining the sale (i.e. "Owner retained" or
"Vehicle will be repaired") Now click on the "Finalize
decision" icon. Now you have finished!
5) QRP Partners agree to pick up awarded units within 2 business days
following the award, if our bid was $499 or less, or we pay the additional
storage. On bids of $500 or more, we begin paying additional storage the
next business day following an electronic award made before 5 p.m. on a
normal business day.
6) Accepting or Declining the high bid using the "Finalize
Decision" icon. This completes that function for you in real time. The
high bidder has just been informed that he has, or has not, been awarded the
vehicle. The system also tells the unsuccessful bidders if the high bid on
the system was awarded the salvage or not, so you don't have to call the
other bidders. Our system will show you the top 3 bids and also tell you the
total number of bids received for your salvage. While this happens on line
through our QRPSalvage server, the high bidder is also sent an email
reminding him that he was or was not awarded the salvage. You will notice
your inventory screen is color coded for simplicity. The bidders inventory
screen is too.
7) QRP members agree to make payment in a timely fashion for your awarded
salvage and you can expect payment to be issued within 14 days from the time
you advise us title is in hand and we may begin processing the salvage.
8) www.QRPSalvage.com puts a salvage administration and management tool
right at your fingertips. On line, real time functionality, with backup
email notifications of new bidding opportunities and bid sequence closings
for the bidder and sellers. You inventory screen provides verification of
how and when your salvage was offered to our membership of professional,
licensed recyclers. Your salvage offering records will be available for you
at your inventory site for about 6 months. Our archive retrieval system will
also help you to locate older claims you may need to view. By using our
electronic "Accept/Decline this Bid" and "Finalize this
Decision" function your inventory screen will be color coded with
"Green" for sold vehicles, "Red" for declined vehicles,
and "Yellow"- make a decision vehicles, and "White"-
bids in progress vehicles. Using this system it is almost impossible to
forget to move or process a piece of salvage again. The system also helps
you identify files for audit purposes to determine payment timeliness as
well as setting a minimum value for owner retained vehicles.
9) QRP will supply you with management reports for offerings by your
company and adjusters. These reports will provide pertinent vehicle
information, ACV, recovery % and claim number so managers can see in a
glance how QRPSalvage works for you.
10) There is a $25 per vehicle fee that will be invoiced with your
monthly management report sent to your company managers. Special programming
available for Independent Appraisal firms seeking to provide their insurance
customers with the best recovery possible.
